The original versions are from various Appliance albums and singles, except "Electra" which was never released by the band, having been developed whilst the band was working on the Six Modular Pieces. "Fast Music" was renamed "Food Music" soon after the first session. The session version of "Pacifica" is played on a grand piano, and the version of "Throwing A Curve Ball" features sampled vocals - unlike the versions on Manual.
